The program is divided into four services: Part A, Part B, Part C, and Part D. Part A insurance covers most hospital costs, hospice, home health, and nursing care costs. Part B insurance pays some doctor and outpatient medical care costs. Part C offers Medicare Advantage programs for those who are insured under Part A or B. Part D covers some prescription drugs costs.

What is interventional cardiology?

Interventional cardiology is a specialized branch of cardiology that treats coronary artery disease with balloon angioplasty and stenting, both therapies that stop heart attacks, relieve angina (chest pain), and unblock clogged arteries, which supply blood to the heart. Interventional cardiologists at the Pinnacle clinic went through extra training to learn the practice and how to perform angioplasty procedures.

During an angioplasty, a cardiologist threads a catheter, a small, flexible tube, with an uninflated balloon on its tip, from an artery in the groin to the blockage. The balloon is inflated to push through the blockage and restore blood flow through the artery. An interventional cardiologist may also guide a stent, a tiny mesh tube, to the point of the blockage to keep the artery open.
